Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. ARTIST STATEMENT: "Our planet is invested with two great oceans; one visible, the other invisible; one underfoot, the other overhead; one entirely envelopes it, the other covers about two-thirds of its surface." Maury (1855) My work focuses on primal forces and elements; the beeswax medium is for me very suitable for exploring the correlation between oceans (and their evolving life), terrestrial vulcanism, and the surging cosmos.
